Hopefully all members should now have received their Chimes magazine, in it we celebrate the successful breed leaders both in the show ring through the All Britain Photographic Competition and in terms of production through the Society’s Annual Production Awards.
Congratulations to all who entered and especially to those crowned with All Britain titles – The Lochhead family dominated with six wins across the nine classes and 16 Kedar animals featuring in the top three spots – well done to the Lochhead family on their continued and consistent show success. Brent and Anne Crothers along with Pippa Tudor had a win in the in calf heifer class and Emily Bradley from Inglehurst took the winning scenic snap shot in this years competition.

In the production awards for 2023 – 24 breeders had animals in the top ten positions over the 15 classes. Congratulations to all who had a top three place. An impressive seven class wins for Mr BE Harrison of the Eden herd of Brown Swiss, with other winners including the four class wins for the Moonriver herd of Rob Darlington and Emma Bruce, and finally RG & J Booth, J & J Hobbs and ES Burroughs who all had an animal rise to the top of a class.
